Sam found Sunglass Warehouse through a search engine while looking for some wacky, crazy new shades. He was surprised at the large variety. He buys numerous things on the internet, everything from an old accordion to clothes to sunglasses!
1.) What is your personal philosophy on fashion?
As a scientist, I believe that fashion is reminiscent of the rituals performed by animals in order to attract mates. Fashion to me is trying to stand out and be original in order to be noticed, yet at the same time trends in fashion arise, which is puzzling. I guess that when people decide their fashion decisions are too widespread and common, the trend will die! People often complain about how fast trends come and go, but I think it’s really interesting!
2.) To which celebrity’s style would you compare your own?
I don’t pay attention very well to the world of celebrities, but I admire the cool shades that I see Kanye West wearing. Lady Gaga also dresses very crazily, and I like being crazy! To compare myself to a celebrity would be a little difficult. I sure wish I could be more like French songwriter Sebastien Tellier, though!
3.) What was your most memorable pair of shades you ever wore?
I love my SW #8792s! They are the coolest, and I got them in blue frame so they definitely stand out. The metal mesh elements make them especially memorable for me, though!
4.) Do you wear your sunglasses at night?
I don’t wear my sunglasses at night; I have a deep fear of falling into uncovered manholes! Besides that, I wish I could, because then I would look cool 24/7!
5.) Do you have any preference on the color of your lens tint?
I prefer a grey tint in my lenses, but, as you can see in my photo, I am wearing amber lenses. It all works for me!
6. Anything else you’d like to add?
The photographer in the reflection of my shades is my little sister, Carrie!
