Bro Culture

Super Mario Dolls

You spot them down the street traveling in a large group, sporting lacrosse pennies (or no shirt at all), sandals and chanting. Remain calm, don’t panic, but it looks like you’ve just had your first bro spotting. Coming from someone who lives on a college campus, aka Bro-ville, I can assure you that they’re harmless. Heck, with a little insight into the Bro Code, you might even find them endearing… or absolutely absurd. I’ll leave it up to your discretion. So follow me, if you will, into the depths of the Bro Bible, courtesy of Bros Like This Site:

The Bro Code:

By rule, all bros must know the words to Sweet Caroline. However, with this bro-anthem, bros are not satisfied with the lyrics – we need to add a few more lines. For example – why the hell didn’t Diamond yell “Dun, Dun, Dun” after singing “Sweet Caroline?” Not only does it make the song sound better, but it makes you cooler too.

Bros love to quote movies because they are a proven commodity. Bros never have to worry about people questioning their bro-ness after quoting a movie because even if the joke crashes and burns (which is highly unlikely), you can still just let people know you were just quoting “Role Models” which will immediately validate you.

Bros have seen every episode and have all the seasons on DVD. If you have never seen Entourage – you are not a bro.

Nothing says bromance like a group of bros getting together and chanting something that they all believe in. Girls hug each other to show their affection while bros stare each other in the eye and scream “EAGLES SUCK” repeatedly.

I think you’re getting the point. So what are your thoughts on this ever-expanding Bro Culture?
